English III (American Literature)
English III, Semester 1 American Literature is a diverse, historical study of some of America's best and brightest authors and their work. Multicultural literature covered in the anthology includes: mythology, legends, nonfiction, essays, poetry, speeches, journals, fiction, short stories and novels. This is semester one of a two semester class.
English III, Semester 2 course topics include the uses and varieties of English, basic grammar usage and mechanics, writing independent and subordinate clauses, verbal phrases, and effective sentences. Other writing units include essay, autobiography, comparison-and-contrast, response to literature and multimedia projects. This is semester two of a two semester class.
