English 1, semester 1 features writing and grammar including usage and mechanics, correct use of independent and subordinate clauses, correct use of verbals and phrases, correct punctuation, essay writing, biography essay and multimedia projects. This is semester one of a two semester class.
English 1, semester 2 features fiction and nonfiction writings including: short stories, narrative essays, reflective essay, expository essay, autobiography, biography, humorous essay, poetry and themes in literature "Heroes and Dreamers". This is semester two of a two semester class.
